                           Greek Olives 

 

Olive cultivation has a long history in Greece and nowadays, As in most Mediterranean countries, it is the most important tree crop.

There is a significant number of olive varieties cultivated around Greece,although sometimes the same variety is differently named locally. 

 

 

The Chalkidiki olives is named after a peninsula in northeastern Greece, east of the city of Thessaloniki, where this variety flourishes. Most people encounter the Chalkidiki as a medium-to-large green olive that has been cured in salt and packed in brine, vinegar or olive oil. Because of their plump size, they are often stuffed with garlic, orange, lemon or nuts - check out our many varieties!

Almond Stuffed -        

Greek Halkidiki mammoth olives stuffed with whole Almonds with a little extra virgin olive oil

 

 

Garlic Stuffed Olives -

Green Halkidiki olives stuffed with whole cloves of garlic with a little herbs and extra virgin olive oil - relax the garlic has been marinating for some time so it is not fearce!!

 

Pimento Stuffed Olives -

Green Halkidiki olives hand stuffed with real pieces of red pepper 

 

Amfissis Olives -    

The Round Tasty Olives, are the main variety for Table Olives.

 

Kalamata Olives -  

 'Kalamata' is a large, black olive, named after the city of Kalamata, Greece, used as a table olive. These olives are of a smooth and meatlike taste. They are usually preserved in vinegar and / or olive oil.

 

Almades Olives -  

 

 It is same variety with the Chalkidiki Green olives but gathers one month later as soon as the olive acquires black colour.
Their treatment becomes only with fat salt in special plastic barrels, thus has only taken also the name
"BRINES" reason of natural treatment with and main component the salt, without additives
chemical preservatives. Time of maturation to consumption is 3 months.
